UPSC NDA & NA 1 2014 – NDA (I) 2014 Notification, Dates and Online Application Form: The much awaited UPSC NDA Exam has been announced. Union Public Service Commission has issued a recruitment notification for National Defense Academy (NDA) 2014 examination. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts National Defense Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) (I) Examination once in a year. This year too, UPSC has notified NDA & NA 1 examination 2014 for entry into Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 132nd Course, and for the 94th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from January 2015.

NDA & NA (I) 2014 Vacancy Details:

Total Number of Vacancies: 375 Posts

I. National Defence Academy: 320 Posts

1. Army: 208 posts
2. Navy: 42 posts
3. Air Force: 70 posts

II. Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 55 Posts

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates born between 02-07-1995 to 01-01-1998 only are eligible for apply for NDA 1 2014. In other word, A candidate must lie between 16 ½-19 ½ Years of age as on the first day of the month in which course is due to commence.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Class 12th with Physics and Mathematics for National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy.

Application Fee: General and other unreserved category candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee in any SBI branch or by using net banking facility of SBI or its subsidiary banks.

SC/ST category candidates and sons of JCO/NCO/OR are exempted from paying fee.

Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will be selected based on their performance in written examination followed by Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test, SSB Interview.

Online Application Form: All those candidates who wish to apply for UPSC NDA & NA 1 2014 are required to fill online application form on UPSC’s official website at www.upsconline.nic.in before 20th January 2014.

How to Apply:

• Log on to official website at www.upsconline.nic.in.
• Now click on online application and fill Part –I Online of Application form.
• Fill all the marked details and make payment.
• Visit the same website once again select Part II of Registration.
• Fill all mandatory details, upload scanned Photograph and Signature.
• Click on ‘submit’ button and complete registration.
• Take print out of system generated application form.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 50 years for Director, Reader and  Senior Lecturer posts, 48/45 years for Assistant Professor posts, 35 years for Surgeon, 33 years for Training Officer posts. Refer to official recruitment notification for more detail.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possessqualification of Degree, PG or B.Sc/ M.Sc for Director post, Bachelor Degree for Surgeon post, post, PG Degree – M.D/ M.S/ D.A or equivalent for Assistant professor post. Application Fee: General, OBC and other unreserved category candidates need to pay Rs. 25/- while SC/ST and other reserved category candidates are exempted from paying application fee.

Selection Procedure:Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Interview followed by merit list declaration of shortlisted candidates.
